Sabbath Every Saturdays

This feast is regarded as the most joyous and celebratory of all the sacred festivals. It is an exclamation of praise, thanksgiving, and sacred community, marking the completion of the year’s cycle in the seventh month, which begins with the blowing of the shofar (Yom Teruah) and a day of atonement (Yom Kippur).

Sukkot recalls the forty-year wilderness journey of our forefathers, when Israel dwelt in temporary shelters — sukkot — under Adonai’s guidance, provision, and faithfulness. As the twelve tribes camped around the Tabernacle, the dwelling place of the Shekinah, Israel was reminded that the true center of their existence was not land or empire, but the abiding presence of God in their midst.

Today, through Yeshua the Messiah, that same divine presence now dwells within us. He is the Living Word who tabernacled among us (John 1:14), and through the indwelling of the Ruach HaKodesh (Holy Spirit), He makes His dwelling in us — His living temples. It is through this indwelling Spirit that we experience the true joy of Sukkot, for the joy of Adonai is our strength.

Empowered by His Spirit, we are called to be His witnesses to the ends of the earth, bringing in the final end-time harvest of souls. Thus, Sukkot not only looks back to the wilderness and the faithfulness of God but also points forward to the Messianic Kingdom, when Adonai will tabernacle permanently among His people and the nations will come up to worship the King, Yeshua HaMashiach (Zechariah 14:16–19; Revelation 21:3).
